Is VerseTap really free?
Yes. VerseTap is completely free to use with all features. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but core functionality will always be free.
What Bible versions does VerseTap support?
VerseTap supports KJV, NIV, NKJV, ESV, and more. We’re continuously adding versions based on user requests.
Does VerseTap Work Offiline?
Prepare sermons on a plane, in a remote area, or when church Wi-Fi is down. VerseTap works perfectly without internet, giving you full KJV access both with passage reveal and scripture lookup (verbatim). You can study, write notes, and access cached passages without internet. Other available versions are accessible with the internet, and once you’ve used VerseTap to open a passage once while connected, the passage is instantly cached locally, which means you wouldn’t need internet to access it again.
Where are my notes stored?
Your notes are stored locally on your device. If you choose to back up to Google Drive, they’re stored in your Google Drive account—never on VerseTap servers.
Can I use VerseTap on multiple devices?
Yes. Back up your notes from one device and restore them on another. VerseTap intelligently merges notes instead of overwriting them.
Is VerseTap available for iPhone?
Currently, VerseTap is available on Google Play Store and as a web app (app.versetap.ng) that works on any device with a browser, including iPhones. A native iOS app is coming soon.
Can I export my notes?
Yes. You can export notes as .txt files or share them directly via email, WhatsApp, or any sharing method your device supports.
How does the Bible reference detection work?
VerseTap uses AI to recognize common Bible reference patterns (e.g., “John 3:16,” “Jn 3:16,” “Genesis 1:1-3”). It works with full names and standard abbreviations.
